The Squaw Valley Public Service District, like most other organizations, has modified its operations to adapt to the risks associated with the Coronavirus to ensure the health and safety of our employees and the community we serve. Please read the full update, from March 19, 2020.

You can contact us by dialing (530) 583-4692 during normal business hours Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

We are continuing the provide Plan Review and Permitting Services. Please follow the guidance on electronic plan review and call our main office (530-583-4692) if you have any questions.

The COVID-19 virus has not been detected in drinking water and the risk to water supplies due to COVID-19 is low, you can continue to use and drink water from your tap as usual. For more information, please review this Fact Sheet, and read the information on these two websites: United States Environmental Protection Agency Guidance on Coronavirus and Drinking Water and Wastewater; Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Water Transmission and COVID-19.

Save the Pipes! Don't Flush Wipes!

Please remember that flushing anything other than human waste and toilet paper down the toilet can damage the sewer system. Flushable wipes should NEVER be flushed down the toilet because they do not break down. Please discard them in the trash, not the toilet. Other California sewer agencies have reported significant sewage backups due to the improper disposal of wipes and cleaning supplies during the COVID-19 emergency. Do your part to prevent sewer spills and protect Squaw Creek, the Truckee River, and our environment.
