Adopt a Hydrant |

Does the hydrant closest to your home become buried in snow after a storm? If so, how long will it take us to locate and dig it out in an emergency? Perhaps too long. Squaw Valley Fire Department encourages you to adopt your hydrant. Make sure your hydrant is accessible to us by clearing around your hydrant and letting your snowplow contractor know where the hydrant is, and giving instructions to keep it clear during the winter months. There are over 150 fire hydrants in our fire district. The Fire Department and Squaw Valley Public Service District will do our best to keep our hydrants accessible, and we sure appreciate your help.
